We are planning many YES Network activities for the GSA 2011 Annual meeting which will be 9-12 October 2011 in Minneapolis, Minnesota next year. Our plans include technical sessions, short courses, social activities, and more! If you have a strong inclination that you will be attending the GSA 2011 meeting next year, please email either Leila Gonzales (lmg[at]agiweb.org) or Mary (yesnetwork.usa[at]gmail.com) so that we ensure you receive personal invites to all the YES Network functions.
Also, let us know if you would like to be involved in planning and organizing of the following activities:
1. Chair and co-chair for the YES Network's Technical Session on engaging early-career geoscientists in outreach activities.
2. Exhibitor booth staff - talk to GSA conference attendees about the YES Network and how they can get involved. We'll have fliers at the booth about the YES Network, upcoming events, schedule of events at GSA 2011, and information on our social activities and competition. We also plan to have a computer at the booth so you can show visitors the YES Network website and social media channels, including how to join the YES Network.
3. Social activities - Help plan our social activities for GSA 2011!
4. Competition for prizes - Help plan our YES Network Competition activities for GSA 2011. This will include designing the competition and contacting sponsors who will donate prizes for the event.
5. Media - Get the word out to the rest of the YES Network and world by being part of the team that ensures we have enough flyers and stickers at the booth. You can also be part of the media team who will be updating our blog, twitter-feed and facebook pages about what we're doing at GSA 2011.
